Ok!
What can you do with a motorcycle and $2.00?
Build a throttle clutch.
Yep, for about 2 bucks you can have a throttle clutch
on your Roadie.
Here's what you need ...
About a foot of vacuum hose and 3 or 4
wire ties. That's it. Take your bike to your auto parts store and find a
piece of vacuum hose that will sit snugly between the hand grip to starter
switch housing. Refer to photos 1 through 4.
You might be wondering why it's referred to as
a Throttle Clutch rather than a throttle lock.
With this setup you can still adjust your throttle
setting. It holds just tight enough to keep
the throttle where you put it and loose enough to
change the setting without strain on your hand.
To engage simply reach over, grab the hose and
lightly pull straight down. Now adjust the throttle to the desired HIGHWAY
SPEED.
DON'T USE THIS IN CITY TRAFFIC, YOU'LL KILL YOURSELF.
SEE DISCLAIMER BELOW.
To disengage, grab the tail and pull back and
towards you.
Now go cruise the highway and enjoy yourself without
the right hand cramping on those long hauls.
